Noah Blake Neurological Foundation

Turning Pain Into Purpose

How God Turned a Personal Journey Into a Mission to Help Others

Noah Blake, our grandson, became the inspiration behind the Noah Blake Neurological Foundation.

Our family never imagined we would face one of the rarest neurological diagnoses in the world. ReNU Syndrome was something we had never heard of until it became part of our family’s journey. What began as an unexpected diagnosis quickly became a journey of faith, perseverance, purpose, and hope.

As a grandmother, watching someone you love face medical challenges, uncertainty, and limitations is heartbreaking. There are moments of grief, exhaustion, and helplessness, yet through it all, I have known that God was not caught off guard. I continue to believe in restoration, healing, miracles, and the power of God to move in impossible situations.

But this mission did not begin when Noah was born. For more than fifteen years, God had placed a burden in my heart for children and adults suffering from neurological disorders, intellectual disabilities, autism, developmental conditions, and physical impairments. I would often pray, “God, let there be so much of You in me that lives are changed and people are healed.”

At the time, I did not understand why that burden was so strong, but now I do. Long before our family walked this road, God was planting compassion, vision, and purpose in my heart.

This journey also became deeply personal through my daughter. Her dream was simply to be a wife, a mother, and build a loving home. No family plans for hospital visits, therapies, medical uncertainty, or the emotional weight of rare neurological conditions. Yet through this pain, we discovered something powerful: pain can become purpose.

Today, we stand not only for Noah, but for every child, adult, caregiver, and family affected by neurological disorders, developmental disabilities, rare diseases, and physical impairments. We did not start this foundation solely for Noah; we started it in honor of him.

The Noah Blake Neurological Foundation exists to help families carry burdens they were never meant to carry alone by providing support, encouragement, education, resources, advocacy, and hope.

This foundation was born from love, faith, and a calling bigger than ourselves because we believe every life has value and every family deserves support.
