God’s Power Overrules the Impossible

Looking through our natural eyes, there are circumstances that seek to overwhelm us, and display the impossibilities at hand. What is your response when the answer has not yet arrived, and the prayers seem lost in the waiting?

The Clash of Two Realms

The realm of the Spirit and the natural realm are often in conflict. We live on earth, but as born-again believers, our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20, MEV). When the natural world screams, “It’s impossible,” the Spirit of God within us declares, “All things are possible” (Matthew 19:26, MEV).

The enemy seeks to distort our perception through fear, doubt, and discouragement. He creates false imaginations to keep us stuck and hopeless, convincing us that the promises of God are out of reach. But 2 Corinthians 10:5 says we are to “cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” (MEV).

This is not just a mental battle—it’s a spiritual one. The devil is a deceiver who whispers lies to manipulate how we see our situation. But when we filter our reality through the truth of God’s Word, we discover that our spiritual inheritance is breakthrough, not defeat.

Agreeing with Heaven in the Midst of Delay

When prayers seem unanswered and heaven feels silent, it’s easy to let doubt take root. But your agreement is a powerful spiritual weapon. Agreeing with the lies of the enemy will build strongholds. Agreeing with the Word of God will demolish them.

Proverbs 3:5–6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths” (MEV). This is a call to abandon the natural lens and embrace the supernatural reality of God’s faithfulness.

God asks us in Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” (AMP). The rhetorical nature of this question shatters all arguments. The only correct response is: “No, Lord. Nothing is too hard for You.”

Why God Allows the Impossible

God’s power is best seen in impossible places. He invites us to call upon Him: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3, MEV).

How can you witness the miraculous unless you’re placed in a situation that needs a miracle?

Psalm 135:6 reminds us, “Whatever the Lord pleases, He does in heaven and on earth, in the seas and in all deep places” (CJB). Our calling is not to understand everything, but to believe that He is good and His will prevails.

Isaiah 55:9 says, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (MEV). That means His plan often won’t make sense—until it does.

Faith Anchored in the Word and His Love

To endure the wait, we must be rooted in two unchangeable truths:

  • God’s Word never fails.

  • God’s love never ends.

The Word anchors us when emotions fluctuate. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (MEV). Speak the Word aloud. Saturate your atmosphere with it. Let it echo louder than your doubts.

And don’t forget His love. Ephesians 3:19 speaks of “the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge (MEV). His love doesn’t abandon you when the answer delays. It carries you.

Ask Yourself:

  • Am I viewing my situation through a spiritual or natural lens?

  • Have I unknowingly agreed with the lies of the enemy?

  • What scriptures can I start speaking daily to shift my focus?

  • How deeply rooted am I in the love and truth of God?

  • Is my mind filled more with fear or with faith?

Declarations to Speak Over Your Circumstance:

  1. I reject every lie of impossibility and agree with the truth of God’s Word.

  2. I declare my situation is subject to divine intervention, not natural limitation.

  3. I am rooted in the unshakable love of God.

  4. I align my thoughts with the Word and silence every voice of doubt.

  5. No weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, MEV).

  6. God is working behind the scenes on my behalf, even when I cannot see it.

  7. My eyes are fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith (Hebrews 12:2, MEV).

  8. I decree that the impossible becomes possible through Christ.

  9. I stand on the promise that God will never leave or forsake me (Deuteronomy 31:6, MEV).

  10. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in me and my situation (Romans 8:11, MEV).

Spiritual Tools and Resources for the Wait:

Faith in Action:

You are not waiting alone. The Holy Spirit is your advocate, your counselor, your comforter (John 14:26, MEV). There is great reward in the wait. Every delay can become an altar of worship, a place where trust is refined and your faith becomes a weapon.

This is where intimacy is forged. As you wait, don’t just ask for deliverance—seek the Deliverer. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8, MEV).

Take the Next Step

If you’re struggling to hold on, don’t isolate yourself. God has given tools, teachers, and a community to walk with you. Read the scriptures daily, pray the declarations out loud, and anoint yourself with oil as a point of faith and contact with heaven. Don’t stop believing. The God of the impossible is about to show up.

And when He does, it will be exceedingly, abundantly more than you could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20, MEV).
