Surrender is a word I heard when I was in the Lord’s presence the other day.
He said, “My people have not surrendered to Me. They think they’ve surrendered. They’ve surrendered their life as salvation, and they say they live for Me. But people have not truly surrendered to Me.
Surrender to My timing. Surrender to My will. Surrender to My plan. Surrender to anything that I want to do in their life.”
He said people need to put things up on the shelf as an offering to Him, as a surrender. Things like their health, their business, their finances, their family. They need to visually put these things on the shelf and surrender to Him.
And it is when they give those things over to Him that they will see the blessings, the turnaround, the change, the healing, the finances. But first they have to realize it’s all His, and in His timing and His way.
Because Romans 8:28 says, “All things are working together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.”
And all things are working together for my good.
You need instructions that you get with the Holy Spirit by spending time resting in Him, soaking in the very presence of the Lord, to get those instructions to totally surrender.
And He said, “Whatever’s on your shelf, whatever you’re surrendering to Me, it must love God, love people, serve God, serve people. And if your agenda or your idea doesn’t accomplish those two goals, then throw it out because it’s not from My Spirit.
If My Spirit is upon it, it’ll be easy, but you have to pray. You have to war. You have to set a perimeter around it. But ultimately, you’ve got to give it to Me. You’ve got to give it to God.
It’s not your way. It’s His way, and you have to yield and partner with the Holy Spirit.”
So the Lord says, “Are you willing to surrender? Are you willing to be healed in My timing? Are you willing to give Me your health? Are you willing to give Me your finances, your job? Are you willing to give Me that loved one? Are you willing to put your business and your ministry on that shelf? Are you willing to put Me first and live the life that I have designed for you?”
