How to Rebuke Sickness and Release God’s Healing Power

Break Infirmity and Walk in Healing

Sickness does not belong to you. Disease is not your portion. When Jesus Christ bore the stripes upon His back, He purchased your healing once and for all. Yet many believers are still plagued with symptoms, doctor’s reports, and ongoing battles with their health. The question is not whether Jesus can heal you—He already has. The question is: how do you kick sickness out and keep it from returning?

I’ve been healed seventeen times without medical intervention. I’ve battled pain, diagnoses, and tormenting symptoms. Each time, I had to rise up in faith, speak to the sickness, and evict it in the name of Jesus. Healing doesn’t just fall into our laps. Scripture declares, “The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Matthew 11:12 NKJV). Healing requires persistence, warfare, and the unshakable belief that you have authority in Christ over every sickness and disease.

Breaking Agreement with Sickness

One of the first keys to healing is breaking agreement with sickness. Many times, without realizing it, we come into alignment with the enemy’s lies. When we say, “my cancer,” “my diabetes,” or “my arthritis,” we are giving ownership of disease a place in our life.

But sickness is not yours to keep. It is an intruder, an attacker, and a thief. Jesus said, “The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 MEV).

You must verbally renounce every agreement you have made:

  • I break agreement with sickness.

  • I break agreement with disease.

  • I break agreement with fear of diagnosis.

  • I break agreement with a spirit of death.

Declare with authority that these conditions have no legal right to remain.

The Power of Anointing Oil

Throughout the Bible, oil was used for consecration, healing, and deliverance. James 5:14 (NKJV) says, “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”

Anointing oil is a biblical tool you can use daily to apply your faith. I personally keep bottles of anointing oil in every room of my home—on my nightstand, bathroom counter, and living room. Whenever I pass by one, I open it, anoint myself, and declare:

  • “By His stripes I am healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

  • “Headache, leave in Jesus’ name.”

  • “Body, align with the Word of God.”

When you combine prayer, faith, and the healing properties of oil, you are applying both a spiritual and physical act of warfare against sickness.

You can order anointing oil and prayer cloths through Kathy DeGraw Ministries’ store or even on Amazon under the Kingdom Scents brand. These oils come with a prayer cloth I’ve personally prayed over—something you can place on your body as a point of contact, like the woman who reached out and touched the hem of Jesus’ garment (Matthew 9:20–22).

Casting Out the Spirit of Infirmity

Not every sickness is purely physical. Many are rooted in demonic spirits of infirmity, death, or torment. Jesus frequently healed the sick by first casting out demons. “When evening came, they brought to Him many who were possessed with demons. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.” (Matthew 8:16 MEV).

When in doubt, cast it out. You lose nothing by rebuking a spirit of infirmity—but you may gain your freedom. Speak boldly:

  • Spirit of infirmity, get out in Jesus’ name.

  • Spirit of death, I bind you and command you to leave.

  • Spirit of cancer, I evict you by the blood of the Lamb.

  • Sickness and disease, your assignment is canceled.

Your authority comes not from feelings, but from Christ Himself. “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19 NKJV).

Getting Violent in the Spirit

When sickness lingers, fatigue sets in. Pain makes you want to give up. But this is the moment to fight harder. Rise from your chair, lift your voice, and make a stand. Say:

“I annihilate every principality of sickness against me. I reject every lying symptom. I declare: I am healed!”

This kind of violent faith disrupts the plans of the enemy. It announces to the spiritual realm that you refuse to be passive.

Remember, Jesus Himself battled sickness and death head-on. At Lazarus’ tomb, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” (John 11:43 NKJV). That same resurrection power is alive in you today.

Questions to Ask Yourself

  • Have I unknowingly come into agreement with sickness by my words or thoughts?

  • Am I actively resisting symptoms, or have I become passive?

  • Do I daily anoint myself and speak life over my body?

  • Am I casting out spirits of infirmity, or only praying for healing?

Prayer Declarations

Speak these aloud daily:

  • By the stripes of Jesus Christ, I am healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

  • I evict every spirit of sickness, disease, and death.

  • My body aligns with the Word of God and not with medical reports.

  • I break agreement with infirmity and declare abundant life.

  • I walk in authority, healing, and divine health purchased at the cross.

Take Your Stand

Healing is not passive. It is active. It is forceful. It is persistent. You don’t have to wonder if God’s will is healing—His Word makes it clear. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2 NKJV).

The question is: will you rise up and fight for your healing?

Get anointing oil. Break agreement with sickness. Cast out every spirit of infirmity. Declare life over your body. Persist until the manifestation comes.

Your healing is not just possible—it is promised. And it’s time to evict sickness now.
